For a while there, adding a PvE skill to cover over your third PvE would result in the loss of another completely different PvE skill so you ended up with only two. I don't mind the three skill limit, but I would like elites to be available as regular skills. Just an opinion of my own, mind you.

No, I just like to get all the skills for my characters primary and current secondary (I dont change 2ndarys) ...and there are 5 of them on per rock (16 total elites there)...(mes/mo or my ele/mo).
I remember having tons of caps when I did that area for my older characters, now its going to be a pain for my newer ones to cap! |

..on subject i think the reason they changed the rule on pve only skills is due to some of the asura skills being very usefull so they didnt want them to become over usefull |

But it is PVE I can understand nerfing a PVP build but any nerfing of PvE skills is pointless I mean if they want to limit how many PvE skills we have in our bars how bout putting a limit on the monsters and someof their skills, example GLOAT, song of the mist, Spectrial aggony,
REALLY ANET WHY NERF PVE SKILLS AND STILL LET THE MOSTERS SPAM A 10 ENERGY SKILL 500 times in 10 seconds and still have enough energy to spam some more. I mean really how are you gonna nerf something that allows me to kill a monster in the same amount of time they can kill me?????? seems a little unfair???????? |

Luckily so far it doesnt seem to have affected any of my builds "I only play pve" if it ever does I will have a lot to say about it often and loud.
There should be in principle no limit to the number of pvp skills when in pvp equally there should be no limit to the number of pve skills when playing pve. Rather its the opposing skills that should be limited just as as eites are, so a pve build should maybe consist of up to 8 skills with a max of x elite and x pvp skills If for any reason you do feel the need to limit some skills then you want to look hard at why they are so named. Its about time really that the two games were seperated completely as regards skills. It really shouldnt be that difficult there have been wintersday events where your whole skillbar was replaced with new skills and you get new skills when in wurm form. Hopefully all this and more will be considered for gw2 and properly structured pvp pve environments will be created. Thats not to say they didnt do a pretty good job its just thet every new skill has added a strain on the game and its starting to cause problems. |

I think there is a lot of discussions on this. If I could give my 2 cents, it would be to not count the cap sig and/or SS rebirth sig. They just don't seem like they need to count towards your "3 pve skills"

That's not the problem its the now well ingrained certainty that just about every change to the game comes about because there is something needs fixing in pvp. Maybe it isn't true but it certainly seems that way. All I want is the pvp players to clear off into their "no doubt" superb game thats far better and far harder and loads more interesting than our easy pve game and leave us alone. You do what you want and let us do what we want, and if some rough tough pvp player starts killing you all. Use the same skills or learn to beat it, that or die don't whine about how a skill need altering. |
